Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2026

Developing the next generation of talent

At BEW Electrical Distributors, we are proud to join businesses and organisations across the UK in celebrating National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2026, taking place from 9th to 15th February. This annual week-long celebration shines a spotlight on the positive impact that apprenticeships and skills training have on individuals, companies, and the wider economy.

The theme for NAW 2026, “Skills for Life”, reflects how apprenticeships support lifelong learning, help build confidence, and open doors to exciting careers. Apprenticeships play a crucial role in developing the talent businesses need now and in the future, helping to fill skill gaps and drive economic growth.

Benefits of apprenticeships

Apprenticeships offer numerous advantages, including:

  • Practical experience: Gain hands-on experience in your chosen field, enhancing your practical skills and understanding.
  • Earning while learning: Receive a salary throughout your training, allowing you to support yourself financially without incurring student debt.
  • Industry-relevant qualifications: Work towards nationally recognised qualifications that are valued by employers.
  • Career progression: Develop a clear pathway for career advancement, with many apprentices securing permanent positions upon completion.
  • Skill development: Enhance both technical and soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, which are essential in any workplace.

More about apprenticeships

BEW’s Apprenticeship schemes available

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow our apprenticeship programme, welcoming six new apprentices to BEW. We’re also proud to celebrate three apprentices who successfully passed their final exams, marking an exciting milestone as they progressed from apprentice to fully qualified members of the BEW team.

At BEW, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of talent. Our apprenticeship programmes offer hands on experience across a range of disciplines including warehouse operations, trade counter roles, customer service and business administration. Through structured training and supportive teams, our apprentices gain practical skills, industry knowledge, and the confidence to succeed in their careers.

Join us during National Apprenticeship Week 2026 to celebrate the value of apprenticeships and explore how they can serve as a pathway to a successful and fulfilling career.
